
President Umaru Yar'Adua of Nigeria has spent over two weeks in Saudi Arabia and is said to have sought medical help in Jeddah. The problem is that it was unexpected and has been kept silent.
According to a medical source in Saudi Arabia, the President has undergone an operation. Although, the Presidential officials have been silent about his condition and when he will be back in Nigeria. It is widely known that Yar'Adua suffers from a chronic kidney condition.
The opposition is demanding to know the details as they are worried that his absence is having an adverse affect on the running of the government, and creating rumors and speculation as to his current condition.
